Media – InQuinte – Local Company Wins Public Relations Award

We’re pleased as punch to have won a second CPRS Toronto ACE Award for our work with Bay of Quinte Tourism!

Story from InQuinte:

A local marketing and communications agency has won their second national public relations award.

engagers, won their second Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) ACE Award Monday night for their work creating and coordinating a marketing activation for Bay of Quinte Tourism at the iconic Drake Hotel in Toronto.

The event, Bay of Quinte X The Drake Hotel Takeover, earned engagers an ACE award for Best Use of Special Events from CPRS Toronto.

The event was a marketing activation designed to support the joint campaign launched in 2014 with the Bay of Quinte Living and Tourism Councils, by introducing the Bay of Quinte culinary assets to influencers in Toronto, the region’s largest target market.

The event was crafted to bring the essence of the Bay of Quinte rural culinary experience to the city, and engagers brought together four wineries, two breweries, a cider maker and a handful of food producers and three partners to create an unforgettable event with a Bay of Quinte menu.

Local entertainers were hired to complete the authentic Bay of Quinte experience.

“These marketing activations are key for our target audience,” said engagers principal, Bruce Sudds. ”It allows them to truly experience the unique qualities of the brand and to be compelled to take the next steps and visit the region.”

This is the second year engagers, a small but deft marketing and communications firm based on Amherst Island, has competed and won in the ACE Awards alongside multinational companies.

In 2016, they won an ACE Award for the Marketing and Communications Campaign of the Year for the marketing strategy they created for the Bay of Quinte Region.

The ACE (Achieving Communication Excellence) Awards are held annually by the Toronto chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society, and recognize excellence across all aspects of communications – including brand development, product launches, special events, media relations and marketing.
